FEATURES: Traditional and Unexpected Illustration Techniques
On rare occasions, a project will call for an old-school look and feel. Sometimes it's useful to soften a company's image; other times its effective at creating a real contrast to the standard high-tech, hard-edged design. The fact is that once the internet came along, traditional illustrations in commercial applications, especially paintings, became about as rare as a unicorn sighting. Given that I'm always looking for ways to take advantage of underutilized media and techniques, I have been known to catch a client off guard with an unexpected recommendation.
